Message from the Founder

Welcome to Clear Voice Hotlinesm Service!

Over 15 years ago, brands and retailers began to consider how they could protect workers in global supply chains against abuses such as child labor and unsafe working conditions. Today, despite acknowledged gains from the efforts of factories and buyers, social compliance teams are facing ineffective or redundant social compliance audits, factories are looking for better ways to demonstrate progress and workers frequently seek safe and secure ways to be heard. Clear Voice builds on these experiences to provide factories with a quality tool to improve workplace communication for the benefit of workers, factories and buyers alike.

Let's begin with some assumptions. First, brands and retailers are increasingly requiring factories to demonstrate that they have systems in place to ensure compliance, rather than relying solely on policing through workplace monitoring. Second, factories can benefit from improved workplace grievance procedures through a combination of training and better information about the concerns of workers. Third, workers with grievances will use a communication channel if it earns workers' trust and can demonstrate protections against retaliation. Finally, semi-skilled laborers have more access to cell phones and the Internet today than ever before.

What does this mean for factories and buyers who are looking for more effective tools to drive social compliance? Harnessing workers' newfound access to technology together with training for managers can improve communication from workers, expand factories' ability to manage grievances and demonstrate strong social compliance programs to buyers.

With an enormous debt of gratitude to friends and colleagues across the globe who share a passion for the betterment of workers, Clear Voice is now live in Latin America and will open soon in new markets in Asia and Eastern Europe.
